Alone Together: PS was an interactive projection art piece built in collaboration with Si Ping Lim which celebrated and recognized the feelings and activities people experienced and did during Covid-19 lock-down quarantines. It was first shown as part of the i Light Singapore 2022 Festival, where it delighted tens of thousands of festival-goers, before traveling to Bangkok, Thailand for the Awakening BKK Festival and later Chongqing, China for the Singapore Week 2022.
Projected onto a building on the Marina Bay the piece transformed the bricks in the wall into colorful, bright backlit apartments, each with its own occupant. Using their phone festival-goers scanned a QR code and were asked what activity they did during their time in quarantine. Once selected their character within its apartment performed the activity, to the celebration and cheers of their neighbors.
